I especially like this because it conveys a sense of happiness, optimism, celebration, peace. Yes, it seems to be a party, but without great angst or inner turmoil. So many paintings of pain, gloom, drama-queen attitudes tend to be tedious. Yes, life's tough. And each of us has a choice to wallow in our alienation or to embrace the wonderful mystery, the incredible beauty of all that is. This painting hints at the richness of the mystery.
ReplyDeleteConnie, that is a wonderful point. The celebration of life itself is a worthy subject. Thank you for the insightful comment!
